Mismatched Maids

We've seen the mismatched bridesmaid dress trend floating around for a while but there's something new that is trendsetting these days!  If you want to change your bridal party up a bit but not a fan different dresses, have your bridesmaids carry mismatched bouquets! Whether they are different combinations of similar flowers or completely different bouquets that just share the same color scheme… not matching bridesmaids bouquets has never been more chic. This is a fun way to incorporate different types of flowers into your wedding!

Not sure how to make the bridesmaids bouquets go with your bouquet? Have your bouquet be a mix of lots of different blooms and then break each of the bridesmaids’ bouquets into a specific bloom. For instance, if your bouquet has hydrangea, roses, lisianthus, sweetpea, and callas in it- then the girls can each carry a of each. The florist can make them similar in size and charge you a flat rate for all of them, then the ones that are cheaper will compensate for the ones that have pricier blooms.

You could also just carry a traditional bouquet yourself, and then have the girls have mix & match flowers that complement your bouquet. If your have a lot of colors in your wedding, bring them into the bouquet as a mix that each of the bridesmaids carry but no two are the same.

If you like this trend, but are too scared to accept mismatched blooms, you can also change up the handle wraps on the bouquets to make for a mix & match look instead.

There is no rule that says you HAVE to match, so have fun and be creative!
